Nature is full of untold stories waiting to be imagined. In this hands-on devised theatre workshop, participants will use sensory writing, movement, and ensemble creation to transform a simple natural object into an original short performance. Suitable for all levels of theatre experience.

Learn how frame-by-frame drawing creates animation in this flipbook workshop. Design and complete your own flipbook to take home. No prior art or animation experience required.
Musical Theatre Jazz Technique

Have you been wanting to dance to some of your favourite show tunes? This class will blend beginner-intermediate jazz technique with the art of musical theatre storytelling. We will start with foundational jazz warmups and techniques exercises and then do a short choreography to a surprise musical theatre number!! This class is open to anyone and can be adjusted based on level. Can’t wait to see you there!
All the Magic Behind the Stage: A Backstage Tour of Charlie Brown

It takes a whole team behind the scenes to make a show happen! In this backstage tour, you will have the opportunity to explore what happens behind the main stage of Charlie Brown and discover how this magical show comes to life. You will be guided by the Production Manager and Director of Charlie Brown, who will share insights into the production process and lead a Q&A session before Sunday's matinee performance.
Live Sound 101

Live Sound 101 is a beginner-friendly introduction to the world of live sound and audio production. The workshop will explore how sound is managed during performances, introduce some of the key ideas and tools used by sound technicians, and offer simple demonstrations to make the concepts easy to understand. No previous technical experience is required—just an interest in music, performance, or behind-the-scenes production.
"Yes, and...!" - Better Storytelling Through Improv
Wednesday, August 5, 4:30 - 5:30pm at the Domino Theatre

An interactive workshop exploring the most important rules of improv (and how to properly break them). Learn improv warm-ups and valuable tips to turn any improv scene prompt into a compelling story and put those new skills to work performing completely unrehearsed improv scenes on a real stage.
Write Like You Mean It: A Crash Course on Playwriting & Dramaturgy

All of your well-loved plays started somewhere, and so can yours. In this playwriting and dramaturgy workshop, learn the magic of what it means to write and edit your very own scripts authentically – inspired by your surroundings, interactions and experiences! You’ll learn the building blocks of writing a captivating story from any genre. You won’t want to miss this chance to hear and see your scenes up on their feet. No prior playwriting and dramaturgy experience is required – just bring your courage to try and engage with ideas you never thought were possible to see come to life.
We Are “Ahead By a Century” - Group Singing
Saturday, August 8, 10 - 11am at the Blue Canoe studio

Come sing one of Canada’s most loved songs. In this relaxed, feel-good one-hour workshop, we’ll learn The Tragically Hip’s “Ahead by a Century” together—mostly by ear—then build it into rich, satisfying vocal harmonies.
No choir experience or music-reading skills are needed. Just bring your voice, your love of music, and your willingness to sing alongside others. You’ll leave having shared some laughs, made a little musical magic, and experienced the unforgettable feeling of voices coming together on a song that connects generations.
